WOW… the response I’ve been getting since launching www.GrapplersProtectYourNeck.com is really overwhelming.
I’ll tell you what… this is something I’ve been wanting to DO for a long time. It’s 3:17am in the morning right now, I’m actually lying in bed but can’t go to sleep, I’m so jacked up from training and what’s been going on with my neck project and all the positive feedback and “Thank you’s” I’ve been getting. “Project” isn’t really the right word because this isn’t just a ‘project’ to me; this is something that’s part of my life.
Lloyd Irvin is my coach on and off the mats, and he’s pushed me to DO more than I ever could on my own - on the mats and off.
Without Lloyd’s help, a lot of the things I’ve done and will do would have probably just been things I wished I would have done, looking back on them, when I get old.
I plan to make a mark by putting out there all my knowledge I’ve learned through the years about neck training, all the successes I’ve had and even the mistakes I’ve made, because I know the people who want to learn and who are willing to apply the knowledge will be helped a great deal.
So it feels pretty damn good to finally get this out.
THANKS for the responses I’ve been getting, and all the emails.
There are LOTS of us grapplers who’ve suffered neck injuries, from minor to major, and it’s good to hear from people who grinded out rehab and surgeries, who are still training, and even grapplers who want to make sure they do as much as they can to prevent neck injuries while wrestling.
I’ve seen too many of my friends and coaches go down because of neck problems!
On a below post you can check out some of the newspaper articles about my wrestling neck injury.
I had to have an emergency C1-C2 fusion to fix my neck, and the bottom line is, if my neck wasn’t so muscular, I would’ve wound up like Christopher Reeve or would’ve just plain died.
A lot of people don’t know that, even some people I currently train with.
Bottom line, my neck training saved my life, and it also enables (NOT past tense) me to continue to train.
As a matter of fact, I’m currently training for my first MMA fight. Again, I can’t stress enough how this all comes back to Lloyd Irvin, my coach and my team, Team Lloyd Irvin. They push me so hard and don’t let me make excuses, I can’t thank them all enough.
I feel amazing right now, I can’t explain it.
I feel so grateful and lucky that I set foot into BJJ United back in Philly and started training with Jared, and joining Team Lloyd Irvin. Jared and the rest of the guys were there for me during a real tough time I was having with some neck problems, and they helped me push through them, and now I’m here in Maryland working and training with Lloyd Irvin. What more can a guy ask for, to know such great people.
I don’t really know what else to say, but that’s my 3am rant….
I’m glad so many people have chosen to visit my site and at least give it a try, because I know the kind of results this neck training can get you.
This is just the beginning.
Respect. No Excuses.
